Gigi Rudella started working with Dayfly in 2018, bringing over 40 years of creative expertise to the company. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts from Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania, she spent over 20 years in television graphic arts at AccuWeather. As a graphic artist, Gigi created and produced weather-related informational art, and was the creator of the daily animated weather features for MSNBC, CNBC, PAX-TV and various internet channels.
During her time there, she received a host of accolades and accomplishments, including being appointed as one of the company’s first female department heads and the first woman on the Executive Staff. Under her direction, the department quickly became one of the top 10 departments in the company. In addition, she served on numerous advisory boards, including the American Newspaper Publishers Association and the National Association of Broadcasters.
Gigi was recruited from AccuWeather to serve as Director of Advertising for Shaner Hotel Group, where she was responsible for all creative and advertising efforts for 56 hotels in 24 states. Her role ran the gamut from computer graphics to media buying to photography and broadcast planning and supervision.
After Shaner, she served as the senior Graphic Designer for Woodcraft Industries, the country’s largest manufacturer of unfinished furniture; and for S&A Homes, the premier luxury home builder in Pennsylvania. Today, Gigi manages creative development and production for SRI Management’s communities and SR Hotel Management’s hotels across the southeast.
